It’s back and sweeter than ever. To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Fire Ant Festival, we’re bringing back the Strawberry Cook-Off with a patriotic twist. Our 2026 theme, Fire Ant Freedom: Celebrating 250 Years of American Independence, invites cooks of all ages to mix hometown pride with bold strawberry creativity.
Whether your dish is baked, chilled, glazed, or completely unexpected, this is your chance to shine. From tried-and-true desserts to inventive savory creations, all strawberry dishes are welcome. A special prize will be awarded for the Most Creative Use of the Festival Theme, so have fun with the red, white, and berry spirit.
Bring your best dish, your imagination, and a little competitive Fire Ant energy. Bragging rights included. The cost is $10 per entry and includes a quart of Calhoun Produce strawberries. Entries received after March 25, 2026, cost $15.

Youth: Desserts
Strawberry desserts created by our younger cooks and bakers.
Adult: Desserts
Classic or creative strawberry desserts made by adult participants.
Adult: Other
Open category for savory dishes, sauces, breads, spreads, and any non-dessert strawberry creations.

All entries must be on site and ready by 3:15 pm.
